An interdisciplinary and intercultural learning program - The Olive

Ege'de Atölye is a platform to learn about a new topic, communicate and work with a team with scholars from various disciplines, students and community members from various backgrounds and cultures. This requires a stretch of personal and academic abilities yet the rewards are bountiful in pursuit of global competence. The theme of the Zeytin programs were the olive as Western Anatolia has been home to the olive tree for millenia. As the Great Pliny said  ‘‘Except the vine, there is no plant which bears a fruit as of great importance as the olive.’’
