's 10th Annual
Gallipoli Trip is planned for Saturday, April 30th.
All our students, faculty, staff, friends and families are invited.
Fee: Students 25TL, SU alumni 40 TL, all others 50 TL (including shuttles, tour bus at
Gallipoli, lunch bags, and tour guide, but not dinner).
Early in the morning on Saturday, April 30, shuttles will be taking campus
participants to the
SeabusPort at Bostanci, from
where our rented seabus will be departing for Gallipoli at 8:00 a.m.. On the
way we shall be hearing the story of Gallipoli from Cemil Koçak, Halil Berktay
and Akşin Somel. When we arrive at Gallipoli, we shall be boarding several
buses to tour the peninsula and visit important sites with the same three
academics as well as History graduate students as our guides. Specially
prepared guidebooks will also be provided. Dinner will be back in Gallipoli, at
restaurants in the port area, after which our seabus will depart at 20:30 for
Bostanci. Campus Shuttles will be waiting, as well as (depending on demand)
shuttles to Kadıköy and Taksim.
