Students who fulfill the outlined requirements are entitled for exemption from “Freshman English I & II” (ENG 101-102) 

ENG 101- 102 Freshman English
Students are entitled for exemption
•    only from ENG 101, if they get a C-SL from the English Language Assesment Exam (ELAE January 2012) and at least 3 from one of "English Language and Composition" or "English Literature and Composition" sections in "Advanced Placement" (AP*)                   
•    only from ENG 101, if they get an A-SL from the English Language Assesment Exam (ELAE January 2012) and at least a B+ from the “Freshman English Exemption Exam (FEEE101**)
•    from both ENG 101 and ENG 102, if they get at least a C-SL from the English Language Assesment Exam (ELAE January 2012) and
o    At least a 5 from from IB (International Baccalaureate) English A2
o    At least a 10 from the ABITUR, English component
o    At least a “Good” from the MATURA, English component from the Austrian High School

(**) ENG 101 Exemption Exam (FEEE101)
The exam will be conducted on February 09, 2012 at 09:30 am at G015 in Faculty of Engineering and National Sciences. The reading pack required for the exam will be announced on University web pages on February 02, 2012 Thursday. The exam will cover writing, presentation and discussion from the texts provided in the reading pack. The exam will be open book.
