Academic Advising

Upcoming students, upon enrollment to SU commence their freshman year once they pass Sabancı University English Language Assessment Exam (ELAE). Foundation Development Year Advisors help these students integrate to the university and to academic life from their first year of entry to SU until they choose a particular program of study. FDD advisors are faculty at large and volunteering administrative directors. Students can learn more about their advisors by accessing Student Information System Link. School of Languages faculty advises Foundation Development Year students and helps them integrate to campus and academic life. 

Peer mentors help and guide students about any academic, social, and personel issues. They also organize various social events so that students can get to know each other and blend into campus culture. Peer mentors are choosen among 3rd and 4rd year volunteers and are trained to become peer mentors. The training covers themes such as self development, effective communication, development of social relationships and coaching.
