Sabancı University’s 14th Annual Gallipoli Trip will be held on Saturday, May 9th.  All Sabancı University students, faculty, staff, and friends and family, are invited to join. 

We will travel to Gallipoli by fast ferry from the Bostancı Seabus port. Shuttles from campus and back will be provided.

On the seabus we will listen to Gallipoli’s story from Cemil Koçak, Halil Berktay, and Akşin Somel.  When we arrive in Gallipoli, we will tour the peninsula by bus and visit important sites with Cemil Koçak,  Halil Berktay, and Akşin Somel.  Graduate students from history and other social sciences departments will serve as our guides in every bus. Specially prepared guidebooks, as well as a lunch, will also provided.

After dinner in the fish restaurants around Gallipoli’s harbor, we will depart for Istanbul at 8:30 pm.  Campus Shuttles will be waiting for us at Bostancı. Shuttles to Kadıköy and Taksim will also be arranged if there is demand."
